Pakistan Academy for Special Kids, a commendable self-help initiative of the Pakistani community in Kuwait, opened its door today to provide support for the Pakistani community ‘Children with Special Educational Needs’ (CSEN). The Academy will operate on the premises of Oxford Pakistan English School at Jaleeb Al-Shwaikh, Kuwait. At the inauguration ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Ghulam Dastgir, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait while extending the Embassy’s continued support for the initiative and appreciation for the efforts of Pakistan Women Forum and the Principal and management of Oxford Pakistan English School at Jaleeb Al-Shwaikh, Kuwait appreciated that the opening of Pakistan Academy for Special Kids is commended by Pakistani community at large and has energized the community with confidence and a positive spirit. This initiative was taken by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait with the help of Pakistan Women Forum and Oxford Pakistan English School at Jaleeb Al-Shwaikh, Kuwait to support special needs children. Earlier, a Parents Supports Group was established to encourage the parents to connect to each other and help themselves by learning from each other’s experiences. Pakistan Women Forum, Kuwait, played a pivotal role in organizing meetings to bring the parents of special needs children together with the aim of easing the social pressure and provide an environment of love and respect that these children deserve.
KUWAIT CITY: Pakistanis can now apply for Kuwait’s visa as the country has decided to lift its visa ban on Pakistan after six years.
The decision was made during the meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah on Tuesday.
PM Nawaz had arrived at Bayan Palace on Tuesday to hold talks with the leadership of Kuwait. The two countries also plan to collaborate and establish a joint council for business. Alongside, both the countries will work together on five different fields.
PM accompanied by a high-level delegation had arrived in Kuwait on Monday upon the invitation of Amir of Kuwait. The PM was expected to address businessmen, investors, and Pakistani community as well.
In 2011, Kuwait suspended all tourism, visit, trade visas as well as visas sponsored by spouses for nationals of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to reports, the ban was placed due to “difficult security conditions in the five countries” and to “the remarkably increasing tendency of nationals from the five countries to apply for visas to bring in relatives who faced or could face arrest by local authorities.”
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Kuwait Monday on a two-day official visit.
Speaking to a delegation of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce at Bayan Palace, the PM said Pakistan offered conducive environment for foreign investment.
“Pakistan offers an ideal and conducive environment for foreign investments,” a statement quoting the PM said. He urged that Kuwaiti business community should explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.
“Government is ensuring all possible assistance and facilitation for investors.”
The premier also welcomed regional countries to join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif met a delegation comprising members of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce at Bayan Palace Kuwait, today.
While highlighting key economic achievements, the PM said that Pakistan’s economy is back on track after strenuous efforts of the present government. The PM said that leading financial institutions of the world have acknowledged the tremendous achievements made by Pakistan in the areas of macroeconomic stability, GDP growth, low inflation and achieving new heights in stock exchange.
The PM said that his government has largely overcome the issue of power shortages and the country’s industrial sector is provided uninterrupted supply of electricity. The PM further said that mega investments are made in diverse fields of energy including hydel, thermal, coal, solar and wind. These huge investments, coupled with the dedicated team work of my government, will enable Pakistan to completely overcome the energy shortages.
The PM said that special focus is being given to building infrastructure, motorways and expressways all over Pakistan. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) alone has the potential to accelerate trade and business activities in the entire region. We are welcoming countries of the region to join CPEC and reap the benefits of this significant connectivity project’, emphasized the PM.
The PM said that Pakistan offers an ideal and conducive environment for foreign investments, and urged that Kuwaiti business community should explore investment opportunities in Pakistan. The PM said that the government is ensuring all possible assistance and facilitation for investors.
The meeting was attended by Shahid Khaqan Abbassi Minister Petroleum, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, Miftah Ismaeel Chairman BOI.
PM Nawaz will hold delegation-level talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, during which important regional and international issues of mutual interest are expected to come under discussion.
Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying the prime minister on the trip, which is part of the regular high-level exchanges between the two countries.
