KUWAIT: The Demographics Amendment Committee has given its approval to two significant draft regulations aimed at making key improvements in Kuwait. These regulations focus on the Kuwaitization of government contracts and the introduction of electronic lease contracts. Both initiatives have the potential to enhance the management of data and the tracking of the country’s population.
Additionally, the committee has undertaken the evaluation of an initiative to establish a national platform for labor market data. It has tasked the Public Authority for Manpower with coordinating efforts with the Fatwa and Legislation Department to examine the legality of the electronic labor contract project. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the General Secretariat, the committee is working on a plan to reduce the proportion of foreign workers in government contract management.
